Pool & Garden
Our shared pool measures 10 x 5 metres and is treated with salt rather than chlorine (an eco-friendly system in place since April 2023).
It is open from mid-May to october, from 10am to 8pm, with sun loungers, parasols, a solar shower, inflatable games for children and a gradual entry point for little ones.
The garden has been lovingly developed since 2013 and is planted with trees, shrubs and flowers all year round.
It features a pond created in 2021, home to ornamental ducks and koi carp, insect hotels, nesting boxes, a small waterfall, and a zen corner with a Buddha statue and wind chimes — all reflecting our commitment to biodiversity.
We also grow organic vegetables in raised beds, and guests can enjoy a shared table-tennis table, badminton and other outdoor games.
Location

You'll be perfectly placed to explore South Burgundy: the abbey town of Cluny, the abbey church of Tournus, the ecumenical community of Taizé, the medieval castle of Brancion, the château of Cormatin, and the romanesque church of Chapaize are all just a short drive away. Cyclists will love the Voie Verte greenway right on our doorstep, and wine lovers can explore the Mâconnais vineyards, with tastings of Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Villages.

How do I get there by car from Belgium,
the Netherlands or Germany?
Our gîtes are located in Champagny-sous-Uxelles, in Saône-et-Loire (Southern Burgundy), about 15 minutes from Tournus. Wherever you're coming from, the easiest way is to join the A6 motorway towards Lyon and take the Tournus exit.
- From Belgium and the Netherlands: drive through Luxembourg, then follow the A31 towards Metz, Nancy and Dijon before joining the A6 towards Lyon.
- From western and northern Germany: take the same route, via Luxembourg or Saarland, then the A31 towards Dijon.
- From southern Germany: enter France at Mulhouse, take the A36 towards Besançon and Beaune, then the A6 towards Lyon.
Good to know: French motorways are toll roads, and bank cards are accepted at the toll booths. The last few kilometres take you along quiet country roads, through vineyards and villages. Your break has already begun!
